Welcome to Crosshaven Boatyard

Crosshaven Boatyard established in 1961, originally specialised in building commercial fishing boats and over the years went on to build famous yachts like Gypsy Moth V, Saint Brendan and a series of Moondusters up to the early 80’s.

The marina and travel hoist were added in 1979 along with expanded storage facilities. Since then the “Yard” has concentrated on all aspects of the repair, care and maintenance of both commercial and pleasure boats.

In 2020 Crosshaven Boatyard was taken over by the Green Rebel Group which has given the boatyard a new lease of life with ongoing investment which will make it one the most modern boatyards in Ireland.

HISTORY

 

Our Yard

Crosshaven Boat Yard was established over 60 years ago and has been a family based operation since the early days. We originally specialised in building commercial fishing boats and small pleasure craft, both sail and power. Many well-known boats such as Gypsy Moth V, the Saint Brendan, Longbow II and a series of Moondusters were completed up to the early 80’s.

We installed the first commercial Marina, with a Marine Travel hoist, in Ireland in 1979. This era saw a major change of emphasis in the business and since then we have concentrated on all aspects of the repair, care and maintenance of modern pleasure.
